Wellbeing Consultant

  Let's get acquainted

 My name is Marlène Levy

I love God. I love people. I love life.

My greatest passion is to communicate the redeeming love of Jesus Christ and His infinite healing power to restore individuals.

We all experience challenges and losses. Unfortunately, they are part of our existence. But I have found out that God is the One who ultimately can weave threads of hope, joy, and peace through our tragedies and give us a sense of purpose and fulfilment.

My love for people has taken me on a varied educational and professional path that includes working as a school teacher, mental health specialist, counselor, cognitive-behaviour therapist, and well-being consultant.

As a French national, I pursued my love of the English language by studying a Bachelor degree at l'Université des Antilles before moving to the UK. I have hosted a Gospel music radio show, and following my training in studio recording, I worked on studio and live Gospel music albums as a music production assistant in the USA. After my initial training in counselling in the UK, I obtained a Diploma in Cognitive Approaches to Counselling & Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths, University of London, and an MSc in Psychotherapeutic Studies from Sheffield University. I have had additional training in Relationship Therapy with Doncaster University; Clinical Supervision with King's College, University of London; mental health first aid, domestic violence and abuse, bereavement, life coaching, wellness and healthy lifestyle. I am engaged in continual professional development.

Working for the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust as well as the voluntary & private sector has enabled me to work with a wide range of individuals with depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, addictive disorders, personality disorders, trauma and stress disorders, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and learning disabilities.

I am deeply moved by people's pain. The question "How can I help individuals get to a better place spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically?"encapsulates my motivation and vision. I have a holistic approach.

And I love life. I love my life. Not that it is perfect. I love my life because every day, I experience God's unfailing love, His redeeming grace, and His undeserved blessings. Some of His blessings have come in the shape of my family and friends who mean so much to me. So I cherish each day. I live in the moment. I also live in hope.

I look forward to sharing with you some of my interests such as flower & vegetable gardening, astronomy, rocks & minerals, nature walks, reading, inspirational music, collectibles, and even some health & cooking tips.

    Welcome to my website.

My personal message to you about Truth & Freedom

Man Looking Out the Window

Do you know yourself?

Finding the truth about oneself and coming to terms with that truth is probably one of the most dreaded experiences of our existence.

It is no wonder that our society is constantly sampling new alternatives so we do not have to live through the pain, take responsibility, or be held accountable.

As appealing as those alternatives may seem, they are nothing but a sequence of mirages that eventually leave us empty and unfulfilled.

In the long run, knowing and accepting the truth about ourselves is always rewarding, reinvigorating, and liberating. Knowing God and allowing His truth to transform us is like stepping out of darkness into the light. The Bible has a point. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
